Hi all,

Picked up my R Dynamic S D180 in Corris grey yesterday. First impressions are that I love it! I've had BMW saloons for 12 years so I wanted something completely different. It's my first diesel, first AWD, first SUV...so I'm a complete newbie here.

I'm not used to the auto handbrake but it seems great. Do I need to use the manual brake button on the right hand side when parked? I'm not sure what to do with this?

Any advice appreciated.

I never touch the actual parking brake lever.

I just press the P on the Control Stick and get out of the car 😀

Then when setting off, just drive !

Nice one ctoneman. Mine is a manual version so I guess just putting it in neutral equates to the same.

I'm looking forward to taking it for a proper spin tomorrow

Oooh I never thought about being a manual. I always choose automatic for the last twenty years so didn't think

I am sure an owner with a manual will advise better than me 😀

I reckon I have it sussed cheers. Well it hasn't rolled down a hill yet anyway!
