Not sure if this has been posted before, but found this on the Jag website this morning which may be of interest!

This includes(among other items) the 'Smartphone Pack'

Quote "With the Smartphone Pack, you can screenshare your smartphone to your car's infotainment system. The Smartphone Pack apps include:
- Apple CarPlay®
- Android AutoTM"

You need to check whether your vehicle is eligible.

I did this update last night and Apple CarPlay won't work. I keep getting a message to disconnect and reconnect the USB. Still doesn't work. JLR Twitter sayings its its an iOS 13 compatibility issue

I've been using Carpaly with iOS13 in beta for several months

Updated mine yesterday. How do i know if i've got Apple car play?
Or does a dealer have to manually install it?

Plug an iphone into the USB ports in the arm rest storage bin

To Cawsie, from the start up screen, scroll left and you should see apple carplay and android auto, press screen and you should see instructions to connect device by usb.

Mine now has Apple Play showing on my screen - glad I didn't pay the £299 to have Jaguar add it!

New users,
Be aware that you have to unlock your iPhone for CarPlay to work.
If You plug the USB cable in with the phone locked it will give the 'unplug and re-plug your USB cable' message. Unlock the phone just before or after plugging in the cable and you should be good to go.
