I have a P250 and I never expected great fuel consumption. For much of my first six months I have been getting 29-32 MPG which is OK, but recently I have been getting 35-40 MPG, which is unexpected. My driving has not changed, the routes have not changed, the only difference is that I have now done 7,000 miles. Is it possible that the engine have have become more efficient as it has now run in nicely?

I calculate MPG by the amount of fuel I put in the car against how far I have driven. I do not use the overoptimistic figures on the dash (although they too have changed for the better)

Interesting that you feel the dash mpg is over optimistic. My P250 on the Jaguar Remote app which I expect is getting its data from the dash info. is showing 12'ish mpg in town traffic journeys and 25/low 30'ish out of town journeys both running in Eco mode which I hope isn't actually worse than it shows since these look like quite thirsty beasts already.
How does the Jaguar Remote app compare with your calculated figures?
