Try to find one at a wrecking yard ? Much cheaper than rebuying the whole shelf..

 

What about a little piece of dense foam cut to the same depth as the bung? Stick it in place with a bit of contact adhesive and it won't be seen when the shelf is down. I'm sure if you have a good look around your house and garage there will be something that you can use a craft knife to improvise a temporary/permanent solution.

 

I was thinking this. It can't be seen anyhow so will most likely be what I'll do once I've exhausted all the local scrap car lots. 👍🏽

 

I've been trying wrecking yards/cars for parts places but so far no luck. The cost of the whole shelf is ridiculous. 😓

 

These rubber grommets are exactly the same as the engine cover rubber grommets for BMWs. You can by a pack of 4 for a couple of quid. Part number is :11127614138 Engine Cover Trim Rubber Mount Grommet Bush Bump Stop For BMW.
If you search on Amazon or eBay you will find them. I bought these yesterday and they are exactly the same and solve the problem.
