Hi
My car kept not recognising my key and I had to keep placing it under the steering column to start.
This morning it wouldn't open with the fob at all.
Turned out to be a totally dead battery in the fob.
I thought that a warning should be displayed that the battery was getting low to warn me?
Didn't get any warnings.
Anyone know if this is the case?

I got a warning on the dash.

I had the same thing. Key only worked under the steering column and no warning given. I guessed it was the battery and changed it before it went completely dead. A month later the car was in for its 2 year service. They changed the battery again (and charged for it of course). Presumably it's part of the service spec, but my battery didn't quite make it till then :|

Appreciated, Unfortunately I didn't change my key as didn't think it was that as no warning 😡
