A software update was completed on a car that was purchased November 2021. Prior to that the media player was working perfectly from a USB source. Now each time the media player is switched on it reverts to the first mp3 file in the directories created on the USB device. It is possible to select a playlist or album but that selection is lost when switching off. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

May be worth posting your software versions and other members can check their versions.
Possible you need an update.

That is recent.
Mine used to do the returning to first track thing, but now ok after update.
So strange that yours is now not working correctly.
I can't check my version as not using car at the moment.
Hopefully someone else can chip in.
