In case you haven't spotted this Jag have released a new version of the Remote app

Jaguar Remote by Jaguar Cars Limited https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/jaguar-remote/id1345448119?mt=8

It's a classic case of design over substance. Functionality is identical to the old version, the design is more contemporary but accessing the data is less easy, so....

To find your current location on a map the old app showed the map on the front screen instantly but now you have to click on two mysterious red >> marks. This is intuitive as [email protected]*k.

The previous version tank gauges has gone, replaced by a simple number telling you your range. Don't they know that a picture paints a thousand words?

Sounds trivial but it illustrates how improved design is all about the look, leaving the user worse off in terms of simple intuitive "at a glance" reading of data.

But one good thing is that the new version now uses Apple Face ID and/or finger print ID to open it - yay!

Great and improved design, shame about the degradation of the actual core user experience!

Just my opinion! ;)

For IOS devices its a totally new app. If you search for Jaguar Remote in the app store you will see two versions. V1 and V2. V2 is soo much faster.
I can't find two versions in the app store...

On the iOS AppStore, search for "Jaguar" and scroll down to "Jaguar Cars Limited" and the old version is "Jaguar InControl Remote" and the new one is a couple of apps down and called "Jaguar Remote".

Thanks for the tip @Snoopy, the new one works very nicely and you can use both on the same device.
