This unit has just come loose of its own accord - anybody had any experience with this, not obvious how it clips back in and don't want to force it. Not particularly good images but appreciate any advice.

Still under warrant? It’s a safety item so call Jag Assist as they would be able to advise on whether they can fix or if it’s a dealer job. Never seen this issue ever on here. Either way it’s clearly not water tight now so needs replaced / resealed.

All sorted by service department of local dealer but with no explanation of how it might have happened! There are about half a dozen screws under the assembly (excuse reflection in image) which had come loose.

My best guess is vibration - I live on an unmade road - because nothing else has happened to the tailgate to my knowledge and there is certainly no sign of any damage. Strange!

Glad it’s sorted, hopefully now tightened with thread lock😁
