Have continued my research into a solar charger for my 2019 model E Pace petrol.I
As the 12_volt socket is not "live" I need an OBD connector.
Can can anyone e tell me how to find the socket and when connected will it interfere with anything else tech wise.
Thanks Den.
OBD connector.
Re: OBD connector.
Hi den, OBD connector is alongside centre console, just as knee roll finishes, (assuming car is RHD) you can see it if you crouch down and look just past brake pedal, I don't know if it will have live feed when car is in sleep mode, Tony

Re: OBD connector.
Hi
I wouldn’t be messing around with the OBD port to charging the battery.
If you are using a solar charger specifically designed to charge a 12V car battery then it is best connected directly to the battery. It should have a fused so that it cannot short the battery if the wires get damaged or the charging circuit developes a fault.
Cheers

Re: OBD connector.
OBD for solar charge to battery seems fine - previous thread here viewtopic.php?f=8&t=962&p=6394#p6394 on the strength of which I bought and used a solar charger over the summer with no problems.
