Cigar Lighter

Post by vannus » Mon Jan 13, 2020 2:48 pm

Hi all I am wondering if anyone has looked in to this. After a change of job our car now sits idle during the week and is not doing a huge mileage at the weekend, my problem is that the battery is now not getting enough of a charge, i keep getting the low battery warning but after a decent run(about an hour the warning disappears). Now i know that I could Just take it for a long run once a week but this isn't always viable, as i already had an old cetek charger from when i had a bike i bought a cigar lighter adaptor to plug it in in the boot and keep the battery topped up. However i have since found out through trial that all 4 of the cigar lighters in the epace are only active with the ignition on or the doors open. Does anyone know if theres a way to keep them active with the car locked or is it gonna have to be an under the bonnet job?

See my post of 7 September under Battery Charger, shows how I connected my Ctek charger.
