Hello

Now I really like this and they have kept the 300 hp engine .. also love the way they have integrated the new pivipro screen, much better then the new f pace example.
I may well be tempted to consider one of these when we change our Evoque in a few years time .. all in all a great upgrade in my humble opinion I hope it does well I really do ..

best regards

Hi All.

Some interesting changes and additions. I like the look of 'Cloud' leather for the seats but I'm bewildered by the engine changes. Not sure what the MHEV actually does although does it matter if it achieves a lower C02 rating. Some of the external changes are a bit naff but the cabin look is brilliant. I like the 3D surround view but it all adds up to being a little bit more expensive. Nice to see some new body colours.

All in all I think the overall set of changes will encourage buyers and that's good for all of us.

Looks to be adding about £1k for a very similar specification.
Same here, not sure what the MHEV gives - very close performance and fuel consumption.
Still they need to do it to stay the right side of upcoming rules.
Still a good looking motor!

Hi All

Been reading up about Belt integrated Starter Generators (BiSG) and it's clever stuff. In many cases it's almost a bolt on to a plain combustion engine where it replaces the alternator and provides both battery power for a quick start of the engine and some additional power to the drive train. Sounds like it makes a lot of sense.

I can see the hybrid selling well and will at least make more sense with the E-PACE name. I cannot tell if the plastic around the start button and instrument binnacle have been covered in a more acceptable material as that's the one bit that I hate about the current E Pace as it looks cheap compared with the rest of the dash material. The new infotainment is well designed and thankfully they kept the really easy to use on the move Temperature knobs.

2,400 Kg current gross vehicle weight of a P250
2,430 Kg new gross vehicle weight of a P250

I guess that's what happens when you add a small electric motor and remove a small cup holder cover.

Apart added fat, the changes look great. Weirdly, I especially like the 'Coventry' on the lower temperature controls. Only Jaguar can add class to Coventry!

I am not convinced about mild hybrids, intuitively you're adding a shed load of toxic chemicals, destroying the earth in the process, and carrying more weight to gain a little less carbon emission. Manufacturers and consumers should look at whole life stats, not on-going emissions (which pretend the production of the car has zero environmental impact).

On the other hand I see they no longer include the badge on the back, whereas this used to be a delete option. Could either be (a) another disparate attempt to save weight or (b) some new design person has finally twigged how gauche P250 AWD is, not to mention the cringeworthy clash of two fonts.

22 months before I change, after having 3 x XE's. So will certainly keep the E Pace on the radar. I know the dealership will contact me after 2 yrs of XE ownership, so that will be 10 months time. But of course this would depend on what incentives are in the offing. So I won't hold my breath.

I would have ordered this week but none of the 3 dealers I contacted would guarantee the PX price on my 2019 E-Pace or in fact the on-line build price for possible delivery in February as Jaguar have told them any post-Brexit costs will be past on.

Hi,
I really like the new screen, and the gear shift !
As for the engine changes, the big news for the french market is that the P200 MHEV is Flexfuel (run either with E85, E5 or E10) that exonerates us from eco taxes (~12k€ in 2020, ~20k€ in 2021). So I'll go with this one even if I would have preferred the P250.

The battery will supposedly compensate the +20% consumption of E85 compared to E5/E10. And the E85 will reduce CO2 levels by 40% and NOx.
