How to lock the car without activating the internal alarm

I used to have 2018 diesel E-pace and when I locked the car the internal alarm was not activated - great as I often left the dog in the boot whilst I popped in to a shop for example.

I now have a 2024 E-Pace P300e (which I love) but the internal alarm seems to be activated now on single lock - the alarm has gone off a couple of times now!

Anyone know how to just lock the car without activating the internal alarm?

Thank you for replying. I think I have found the answer, whick I'll post here for the benefit of others;

When the vehicle is single or double locked, the alarm sensors arm. The alarm sensors comprise:

  1. A tilt sensor to detect if the vehicle is titled or raised.
  2. An interior motion sensor to detect movement within the vehicle.
There is now however an "Ask on Exit" option

The Ask on Exit feature allows the user to set an alarm sensor prompt in the instrument panel.

To turn the Ask on Exit feature on and off:

  1. Touch the settings icon.
  2. Select Vehicle.
  3. Select Safety and Security.
  4. Touch the Ask on Exit toggle to switch on or off.

When turned on, the Ask on Exit feature displays a message in the instrument panel. Press the OK button on the steering wheel controls to activate or deactivate the alarm sensors.
